MPLAN is an independent publication focused on urbanism, architecture, and the culture of cities. I founded it as a space to bring together the kind of writing and visual thinking that doesn't fit neatly into academic journals or mainstream design media — grounded in practice, but open to the personal and the political.
As design lead, I oversee the entire print and digital output: editorial direction, layout, typography, and web presence. Issue 01 was launched at Omved Gardens in London. Issue 02 is currently in development, with contributions being gathered from writers and practitioners across the field.
The magazine grew out of a frustration with how urban design tends to be communicated — either too technical or too aspirational. Mplan tries to sit somewhere more honest than that.
